The “Su Coccu", is an amulet used to protect from negative energy, usually made of an onyx or obsidian black round stone, set between two little silver cups. The black stone surrounded with silver represents an eye which counteracts the envious people, can be worn or carried for protection.
It has the task of soothing the person who wears it from all pain, of preserving it from the aggressions of poisonous animals, but above all from poisonous people. This amulet had to be loaded with particular prayers in Sardinian language which activate its powerful protection against negativity.
