Hotel History Cervo Hotel

The land itself, with its stunning natural beauty, inspired architects and developers. Part of the design team for the initial development of Costa Smeralda was architect Luigi Vietti. At that time, Porto Cervo bay was a stupendous, uncontaminated natural port without roads, electricity, water or telephones, just a rocky land where wild goats grazed.

In 1964, constructions of the original core of the village started under Luigi Vietti's creative lead: the iconic Piazzetta, destined to become the life-centre of Costa Smeralda, has already been paved and the Cervo Hotel, together with the first houses and Marina of Porto Cervo, were rising as integral part of the village.
